FAQ

Why the Conservation International Foundation?

Several reasons, chief among them the fact that they are dedicated to preserving biodiversity, which is – as I understand it – the key to effectively safeguarding our natural resources. Furthermore they get high marks for fundraising efficiency from several charity watchdog web sites. Even though the Dems took Congress, the damage caused by the Bush administration’s environmental policies (or lack thereof) will take a lot of work to undo. The pace of global industrialization and climate change is accelerating rapidly and unless we make serious moves to slow or reverse it, there may soon be precious little environment left to conserve.

There is an image I particularly like, can I request it?

Each card is original. The images pictured are samples and may no longer be available. However, if you let me know which one you like, and I still have it or one similar, I will send it to you. But isn't it more fun to be surprised?

I don’t like my postcard, can I send it back?

I aim to please. If your postcard is unacceptable – either aesthetically or because it was mangled by the post office – you can send it back and I will replace it. But please tell me why you didn’t like it.

There’s part of a drawing on the back of my card, what’s up with that?

When I wasn’t happy with one of the cards I flipped it over and used the back. Doing my bit for the environment.

Can I send a card as a gift?

Sure, just give me the recipient’s name and address and a short message if you wish. I’ll also include a line explaining that $25 of the gift was donated to the environment.

Why do you want my email address?

I will send you an email letting you know your card was sent – if you don’t receive the card, please let me know. Also I’ll be adding your email address to my database so I can let you know about upcoming shows or events. Please tell me if you don’t want to receive these emails. I promise not to spam.
